This study is a close examination of the population of a garrison town in southern France during the later reign of Louis XIV. This town was in close proximity to military activity during the several wars of the period. It utilizes parish records, specifically baptisms, burials records with particular focus on mortality during the famine and crises years, and marriages for the origins of the people in the town.en_US
