(1) The author did his internship as an IT manager at the Urology department at the VG site of QE II hospital. He was responsible to manage different healthcare projects and basically making a connection between physicians and IT people. Through his internship he could use the knowledge from classes and instructors in the real health environment and get hands on experience. This internship gave him an opportunity to realize that how the theory could be put into practice. He also learned about the challenges and how to deal with these challenges. The most valuable lesson he learned during his internship was considering all the aspects of a project, especially dealing with the rules and policies related to patients’ privacy.en_US
