Abstract
According to the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Program, with the presence of long waiting time lists there is an increasing need for automatic analysis methods to determine the causes of its existence. The AutoReport Generator was initially proposed by Mr. Mohamed Abdolell. Previously, to generate such a report it took around a week by using semi manual methods. In this paper we are presenting the AutoReport Generator software that we developed during our internship. It is user-friendly software for automatic data analysis using the statistical environment platform R and document preparation system (Latex). This AutoReport Generator is designed for data analysis by using predefined analysis scenarios via a graphical user interface (GUI). A pdf format document containing figures is automatically generated and saved. The programming languages used to create and implement this software are R, Latex and C#. Also, to extract the needed data to measure waiting time we needed to use MySQL Server. Beamer Style Sheet (.Sty) files were used to get standard document designs that were opened by Latex program. Also, there are .R files which can be opened by Tinn-R or Notepad and run by R software. Those files contains R and latex codes. Also ODBC connection was used to connect the database with the MySQL Server. Please Note: This project was performed by Husam Al Qatami and Abdulhady Habash. It was a good experience to exchange knowledge between us during this project.
