| dc.description.abstract | The importance of ATP in energy metabolism has long been recognized. Exercise has been shown to increase ATP metabolism in the RBC which may be an important mechanism for post exercise hypotension. We summarize current evidence in support of ATP metabolism in the RBC as a biomarker for cardiovascular protection. | |
