dc.description.abstract | This evaluation has had the objectives of examining the police service at Indian Brook and in particular assessing its changes in recent years and the possibilities for future improvement. A wide range of methods and research techniques were employed. These included a large survey of adult residents, in-depth interviews with chief and council and members of the police advisory committee, in-depth interviews with CJs officials and leaders of other Indian Brook social/community agencies, ad hoc focus group sessions with young adult males and females, interviews and ride-alongs with RCMP officers, obtaining and analyzing crime statistics in a comparative and historical context, and analyzing other relevant data such as advisory board minutes, police occurrence logs and socio-demographic data. | |
