In this chapter, we present a complementary perspective to the oceans theme of this volume by ethnographically engaging the circulation of scientific knowledge and evidence in a different but comparable policy decision-making environment. We will use two case studies in health regulation that explore: (i) national regulatory practices and policies for emerging health products, and (ii) global vaccine development and implementation platforms. These case studies and the conclusions that we draw illustrate the role(s) information plays in decision-making processes at the science-policy interface in regulatory contexts that parallels the observations and conclusions of the authors of other chapters in this book.en_US
