dc.description.abstractScalable solution-processed methylammonium lead iodide-based perovskite materials are exhibiting high performance by controlling over the morphology, crystallinity, and crystal orientation in perovskite film. High-quality crystallized perovskite films and millimeter size single crystal grains were demonstrated using a meniscus-assisted blade coating technique. The blade-coated perovskite grain is also compared with conventional spin-coated perovskite film both in morphology and for application in optoelectronic devices. The dissertation is concluded by presenting the comparison of blade-coated perovskite photodetectors with the conventional spin-coated perovskite photodetector. The blade-coated perovskite photodetector obtains a responsivity (R) of 148.7 A/W using a 522nm wavelength of light with a calculated external quantum efficiency 3.52 × 104 % under at 4V bias, which is higher than the reference of conventional spin-coated devices. In addition, the larger crystal grain in blade-coated perovskite film enhanced the stability of the photodetector devices, to a value above 80% higher than a reference spin-coated device.en_US
