The Medical Register of Nova Scotia is presented here in PDF format from 1857-1990 inclusive. The Register for the years 1857-1896 appeared in Belcher's Farmer's Alamanac. Beginning with 1897/1898 it was published by the Provincial Medical Board of the Province of Nova Scotia.

The annual listings of the Register may be browsed individually. Entries within each listing are in alphabetical order by surname and include the name of the physician or specialist, his or her qualification, where he/her received training and the date, and his/her place of practice for the year of the listing. For many years midwives were included in the listing.

Search the entry in the Novanet Catalogue for the Kellogg Library's current holdings of the Register in print form. Visit the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia website for the current online physician listing.
