The Board of Governors Minutes, 1820 onwards contain information on faculty and program creation and modifications, convocation candidates and procedures, building changes and naming, staff and faculty appointments, tenure and salary increases, key donors and funding, biographical sketches of key members of the Dalhousie community, and other information on administrative duties involving the Board of Governors.
The meeting minutes exist in several different formats. These include handwritten, typescript and electronic.
The Board of Governors minutes listed below are the ones which have been digitized. The original minutes and minutes which have not yet been digitized for the years 1945 - 1980 are available through the Dalhousie Archives and Special Collections using the finding aid Dalhousie Archives and Special Collections Collection Number UA-1
