dc.descriptionJoin us for a deep dive into the Canadian case law that relates to fair dealing, with a particular focus on CCH and subsequent cases. During this session, attendees will learn the importance of fair dealing, discovering how decisions from the courts can be used to help copyright users conduct six factor fair dealing assessments. This session will also include a comparative introduction to US fair use and will conclude with a brief discussion of other exceptions to copyright infringement in Canadian copyright law. This session will be of particular interest to attendees starting their work in copyright within higher education.
