Decarbonizing Dalhousie's Investment Portfolio. Department of International Development Studies, Dalhousie University.http://hdl.handle.net/10222/84009Dalhousie University faces a pivotal moment to realign its investment portfolio with its core values of sustainability and responsibility. This proposal advocates for a comprehensive approach to decarbonizing investments, rooted in financial prudence and ethical considerations. It also advocates for investment decarbonization as a step towards net zero emissions and urges Dalhousie to publicly commit to net zero by 2040. By withdrawing from carbon-intensive holdings listed in the Carbon Underground 200, committing to full withdrawal from companies involved in the extraction, processing, and transportation of fossil fuels, and reinvesting a portion of returns into local community initiatives, Dalhousie would demonstrate its dedication to responsible investing and join the global transition to a lower carbon future.Decarbonizing Dalhousie's Investment PorfolioText
