Readers who wish to view and work with the projects associated with the report "A Large-Scale Digitization Plan for Public Domain Works in the Killam Library" must first download and install OpenRefine https://openrefine.org/download.html

Individual project files are compressed into a single file called OpenRefineProjects that contains 65 individual projects representing Library of Congress subclasses in the Killam Library collection.

You can import these projects into OpenRefine by clicking "Import Project" from the left side menu and selecting the relevant tar.gz project file. The projects include all of the raw data and cleaning steps that were part of the original project described in the report.

The only action required to see public domain items for personal authors and anonymous authors is to facet “Person Author Public Domain Status” and "Anonymous Author Public Domain Status". For each column choose "Facet > Text Facet" to create a facet with the 2 values. Choose the “Possible Public Domain” facet.
