The Our Voices Matter Project is an initiative of the Canadian Mental Health Association Halifax-Dartmouth Branch. The purpose of the Project is to offer older mental health consumers living in Halifax Regional Municipality the opportunity of leaving a permanent record of their lives. The collection consists of 16 DVDs, 5 CD-ROMs, and 54.4 GB of digital video and electronic transcriptions. The collection contains oral histories given by mental health consumers that span the second half of the twentieth century to the present. Some videos are accompanied by a transcription of the interview.
